Role Overview:

Compass Travel Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Travel Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will
provide expert travel advice, create tailor-made itineraries, manage complex bookings, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for a
motivated travel professional with strong destination knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to handle high-value and specialist
travel arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, tailor, and manage complex travel itineraries, including long-haul, European, honeymoon, cruise, and multi-centre holidays.
Provide expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and other travel-related services.
Manage leisure bookings accurately and efficiently from enquiry through to completion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional service and repeat business.
Liaise effectively with airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other suppliers to secure the best available arrangements and rates.
Support and guide junior consultants by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Maintain high standards of administration, documentation, and booking accuracy.
Use advanced knowledge of travel booking platforms and related IT systems to improve efficiency and enhance the client experience.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and contribute ideas for operational improvements.
Work closely with management on service enhancement initiatives and technology-related improvements.

Requirements:

A degree or diploma in Tourism Studies or a related field.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in the travel agency industry.
Strong knowledge of worldwide destinations, travel products, and current travel regulations.
Proven experience using Amadeus GDS and other travel reservation systems.
Strong proficiency in travel booking platforms and related IT systems, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneously.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Fluent in English and Maltese, both spoken and written.
