Diane Mifsud Depasquale
Managing Director

30 years of experience in the travel industry has paved the way forward to opening Compass Travel Ltd in 2016.  A Travel Agency specialising in long-haul travel, honeymoons and cruises. Diane has extensive knowledge in the travel industry and has travelled to countries such as China, Japan, India, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Caribbean, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, USA, Canada, South Africa, Mauritius, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and her home country Australia to name a few.

Having escorted several groups to China, Colombia, Vietnam, Japan and South Africa, she has become familiar with what the traveller needs and what is expected from a holiday.  Diane’s extensive knowledge of worldwide destinations is continuously passed on to her team members in order to offer the best planning and advice to all customers.  The guidance and knowledge of each country is essential in planning an unforgettable holiday, hence the name Compass Travel –

Martina Sammut
Senior Travel Advisor

Martina graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Tourism Studies from the University of Malta.
She has travelled to Spain, Andorra, France, Slovenia, Austria, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Czech Republic,  Hungary, Romania, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Morocco, Vietnam and Singapore.

One of her favourite places is Edinburgh and Scotland in general, where she lived for four months.  "The city is very welcoming and you will never find yourself bored and with nothing to do there", explains Martina.

As she started her career with Compass Travel, she has had the opportunity to meet new people, learn about new destinations and also about different ways of planning a holiday. "There’s never a day that is the same as another and you always need to keep yourself up-to-date because it is such a fast-paced and dynamic industry 😊".  She enjoys seeing clients fall in love with a destination when they start learning about it and understanding what it has to offer.

 


Erica Gauci
Travel Executive

Erica joined Compass Travel as a travel executive in December 2024 and her passion for travel has been the driving force behind her career move. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to explore some incredible destinations including Morocco, France, England, Portugal, Italy, Sicily, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Cyprus, North Macedonia, the Netherlands and has just returned back from Thailand.

With a background as a tourist information officer, she has spent years assisting travellers by offering valuable insights, helping them navigate destinations and ensuring they have unforgettable experiences.

Committed to making your travel plans as seamless and enjoyable as possible, she is always excited to help travelers discover new destinations and create memories that will last a lifetime.




Shanice Azzopardi
Theme Parks, Marketing and Social Media Executive

Shanice is the latest addition to the Compass Travel team. She graduated as a Primary School teacher with a B.Ed. (Hons) from the University of Malta. She has travelled widely around Europe, and outside it too. Her favourite destinations she has visited so far are Japan, USA (California & Florida) and Rwanda.
Shanice is also a massive Disney fan, and has almost visited all Disney parks around the world. Her knowledge about Disney will be of great help to our clients, and she handles all Disney enquiries in our office.
Social Media is also one of Shanice’s passions, and she is also managing the company’s platforms and marketing.  

 


Anthea Lia
Travel Executive

Anthea joined Compass Travel as a Travel Executive in October 2024, bringing a fresh perspective and a passion for curating unforgettable travel experiences. With a
B.A. (Honours) Degree in Business Enterprise, she combines her academic background with a love for travel to help others plan their dream journeys.

Her extensive travels across Europe include iconic destinations such as the Dolomites in Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Disneyland Paris, and the breathtaking landscapes of Greece and Poland. Anthea’s experiences also include two enriching Erasmus placements, where she spent two months in Italy and a month in the Netherlands, gaining valuable cultural insights. An enthusiast of adrenaline-filled activities, she has tried her hand at river rafting, paragliding, skiing, and exploring thrilling theme parks.

Known for sharing travel tips and stories on social media, Anthea is always eager to discover new destinations. Her goal is to inspire others and bring their travel dreams to life through expertly crafted, memorable experiences.
